What previous guests have asked us

A lot goes into planning the trip of your dreams, and we want to help you feel confident and excited about your choices. Here's some information that might be helpful as you prepare to book your stay. Of course, we're happy to answer all your questions.

HOW DO WE GET THERE?


You'll either have to fly into Liberia or San Jose.  From there, you can catch a commuter flight to Cobano. If you don't like small planes, then you can arrange for a shuttle to pick you up and drive.  You can also rent a car and drive down but if you do that, it would be best to fly into Liberia. Keep in mind it will be a 3 hour drive while a commuter flight will be 20 minutes.  

DO WE NEED TO BUY OUR OWN GROCERIES?


Yes, it is a privatley owned condominium you'll be staying in with a fully equipped kitchen and a bbq outside.  There is a small grocery store on site and vendors visit the front gate on the weekends with fruits and vegetables.  A full grocery store is in Cobano which is about a 20 minute drive away.

WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO THERE?

Aside from the obvious (relaxing and golfing), you can book a tour to Isla Tortuga for the day and have lunch on a secluded beach and snorkle.  You can also go ziplining in Montezuma or visit the Curu Nature Reserve.  Horseback riding is an option as well as deep sea fishing.  Or you can sit on the beach and hopefully spot a whale depending on the season.  And don't forget about karaoke at the community beach bar called - The Rancho.

HOW DO I GET AROUND?


There will be a golf cart at your disposal to get around the community if you rent for a week or longer. It will be included in your stay.   If you would like to rent a car for a short period of time, contact me and I can send you some contacts for this.

ARE PETS ALLOWED?


Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at our rental property. We apologize for any inconvenience.

WHAT IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG AT THE PROPERTY?


Just contact me on WhatsApp and I will have my property manager come by as soon as possible.

WHAT CURRENCY DO I USE WHEN WE'RE THERE?


You can either use Colones (Costa Rica's currency) or US Dollars.  Pricing on this site is in US funds.

ARE THERE ANY CLEANING FEES OR ADDITIONAL CHARGES?

There are no cleaning fees or other charges, but if you break something, I expect you to be honest and let me know.  We can work out how to deal with it then.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

At Azul Del Mar Vacation Rental, we require a 10% deposit to secure your reservation. If you must cancel your reservation, we ask that you provide us with at least 7 days' notice. Cancellations made within 7 days of your reservation date will result in the forfeiture of your deposit. We appreciate your understanding and hope to have the opportunity to host you in the future.
